Often, the best option for moderate-to-severe eyebrow droop is a surgical correction. The surgical eyebrow lift technique has dramatically improved resulting in an endoscopic technique that is used today. The endoscopic technique allows Dr. Chernoff to make a tiny incision. This small incision is particularly good for men with receding hairlines that have heavy and droopy hooding of the upper eyelids.
A brow lift also helps smooth any creases that develop across the forehead and softens frown lines appearing across the bridge of the nose and in between the brows.
Some patients may also benefit from an upper and lower eyelid lift to address excess skin, fat deposits and bags. The procedure can be performed in our office, operating suite, or in an outpatient surgery center. It can often be combined with other procedures.

After Surgery Care

When you wake up from surgery, there will be bandages around the small incisions to promote optimal healing and recovery. Cold compresses can be used to help minimize swelling and reduce pain.*

What is a Non-surgical Eyebrow Lift?
When an eyebrow droop is mild, neurotoxins such as BOTOX, Xeomin, or Daxxify is often recommended. Neurotoxin is injected into the muscles that raise the eyebrow causing the muscles to relax and helps open up the eye area to provide a well-rested, natural-looking result. Patients are advised that the results are temporary and typically last 3 to 6 months.*
For patients with moderate-to-severe eyebrow droop, however, injecting BOTOX can worsen the condition by making the droop greater. BOTOX can be an excellent option for the horizontal forehead lines as well as the vertical lines between the eyebrows.
