Greg Chernoff well known plastic surgeon Indianapolis. Sandy, current patient of Dr. Chernoff. Sandy’s current occupation: Computer Software Sales Sandy: I came to see Dr. Chernoff for the fist time to have a mole removed. During my visit, we talked about some other ways I could improve my appearance. Dr. Chernoff showed me computer imaging what I could expect from a face and neck lift that would give me back my jawline. Dr. Chernoff also showed me how removing the excess skin on upper and lower eyelids could help me look more rested. I was excited to see what a difference this could make. I was nervous at the thought of having cosmetic surgery since I never thought I would ever do anything like this. Doing something for myself was so new to me. I have spent most of my life doing everything for everyone leaving myself last. I went home, talked with my husband and his words were “so when are you going to do it” I was thrilled to have his support and he was excited that I was doing something for myself. In addition to having a face, neck, and eyelid lift, Dr. Chenroff did some body sculpting for me. I decided that if I was going to be recovering for a week that I should go for it. Dr. Chernoff suggested that I lose weight before my surgery. He said I should start now because after surgery, it would be important to maintain a healthy weight to protect my investment. I took his advice, started exercising, eating healthier, and felt great going into surgery. I was uncomfortable the first few days after my surgery but each day got better. As the weeks and months went by, I was thrilled with results. What surprised me the most was how much better I felt about myself. I have always struggled with self-confidence especially when it came to my career. I always felt most comfortable working behind the scenes… in front of a computer or phone rather than face-to-face with clients. As my self-confidence improved, I decided to a giant leap for me, doing a complete transition into an outside sales role. I never thought I would have the courage to get up in front of people and make such a dramatic career change in my fifties. It turned out to be such a blessing for me. As I advanced in my career, I continued to feel more confident in my abilities and myself. I changed how I approached the relationships in my life and loving husband of over 30-years was thrilled with the change so much that he also decided to make some changes. As a result of my transformation, I inspired my husband to do the same. He started exercising, eating healthy, and went lost over 50 pounds. We joined a gym and together and are committed to healthy living, exercise and wellness. Some days are easier than others and when one of us doesn’t feel like getting out of bed and going to work out … we encourage each other to keep going. Dr. Chernoff changed my life and I can never repay him for that. I continue to follow his advice and protect my investment. For me that means taking care of myself which I’m committed to do.
