Chemical Peels
Chemicals peels are also used to treat shallow scars, especially those found on the face. Chemical peels work by gently exfoliating the skin and removing the top layer of skin to reveal a new layer of healthy, fresh skin. Chemical peels can be done in phases for the treatment of deeper scars.
Laser Resurfacing
Light energy is concentrated in the treatment area to remove damaged skin one layer at a time. The laser removes the outer layer of skin while the heat from the light energy stimulates collagen production in the deeper layers of skin. This treatment results in improvement in the overall quality and texture of the skin.
Injections
Injectable dermal fillers can be used to temporarily improve the appearance of indented scars by restoring volume to the area.
