How Does the Aerolase Light Pod Neo Work?
The laser light is attracted to a combination of water, melanin, and hemoglobin within the skin. Laser energy passes through the epidermis and selectively targets specific tissue structures without affecting the surrounding skin.
Patients typically experience a mild warming sensation on the skin. A slight redness of the skin, if it occurs at all, will usually disappear in a couple of hours.*
Prior to any treatment or procedure, Dr. Chernoff or one of our trained and certified Health Care Providers determine if you are a candidate, review the risk and benefits, and provide all possible treatment alternatives.
What Results Can You Expect?
Usually, more than one treatment is required to achieve optimal results. Although you may resume your normal daily activities directly after each treatment, we advise you to avoid direct sun exposure and to also use sunblock.*
During your consultation, one of our professionally-trained clinical staff will explain the treatment, recommend a plan, and discuss what you can expect.
