Dr. Chernoff performs the first of three injection series of laViv personalized cell therapy. LaViv, made by Fibrocell is the first FDA approved personalized cell therapy that uses a patient’s own fibroblasts to improve the appearance of nasolabial fold wrinkles. Dr. Chernoff is one of the investigators for this new therapy.
The cell therapy works by extracting and multiplying a person’s own skin cells called fibroblasts, to create laViv. Once the cells are multiplied by Fibrocell, the cells are injected into the patient.
The biological process works over time providing gradual and natural –looking results in 3-6 months.
