This young patient struggled with a naturally recessed or under-projected chin, a condition that was not caused by aging, but rather by genetic factors and skeletal structure. The lack of chin projection created an imbalance in their facial profile, particularly noticeable from the side view. Although chin fillers can temporarily improve facial balance, the patient wanted a more permanent solution that didn’t require ongoing maintenance. After a detailed facial analysis and consultation with Dr. Chernoff, a chin implant was recommended for this patient. The patient agreed that this was a more cost effective option in the long run as well. The procedure was performed using a small, discreet incision under the chin in the natural chin crease for minimal visible scarring.
