What Types of Arm Lift Surgeries Are Offered?
Our surgeons complete arm lift surgery, or brachioplasty, to help treat sagging skin as a result of dramatic weight loss or the aging process. In this procedure, excess tissue is surgically removed from the arm area, which will result in a discrete scar on the back of the arm.
Arm reduction treatments also use ultrasound-assisted liposuction to remove excess fat and tighten the skin in the treated area. This option is best for patients with good skin tone and elasticity. In some cases, we may recommend non-surgical skin tightening treatments in combination with liposuction treatments.
Some patients may require both liposuction and skin subtraction to achieve their aesthetic goals. Before surgery, our doctors will review a patient’s overall medical history and general health and determine the best approach.

After-Surgery Care
After your arm lift surgery, incisions are covered with bandages and your arms will be wrapped in elastic bandages to minimize swelling. Directly following your arm lift surgery, we recommend that patients rest and limit activity.* Dr. Chernoff requires patients to wear a compression garment that is provided to you after your surgery. This garment promotes healing and optimizes the results of your surgery. Our doctors will help determine when you can resume your normal activities; weight training and aerobic exercise should be avoided while your body heals. Post-surgery pain is mild to moderate and can be managed with oral painkillers.*
Following your arm lift surgery, Dr. Chernoff, Dr. Ordon, and our dedicated team of recovery and aftercare nurses will provide you with specific instructions regarding the best way to care for your arms following your surgery to promote healing while reducing discomfort.
