What Is Jeuveau?
Jeuveau is the first new brand of injectable wrinkle-reducing medication in about a decade. The active ingredient in Jeuveau is a well-researched and clinically tested muscle-relaxing substance called botulinum toxin. This neurotoxin works by stopping the signals from your nerves that tell your muscles to crinkle into facial wrinkles resulting in the temporary reduction or smoothing of the appearance of unwanted wrinkles, furrows and lines, specifically those that are most prominent between your eyebrows.

How Does Jeuveau Work & How Is it Different From Similar Injectables?
Jeuveau, created by Evolus, is one of the newest injectables to be approved by the FDA for the temporary treatment of moderate-to-severe aging signs within skin. Like BOTOX® Cosmetic, Jeuveau is an acetylcholine release inhibitor and neurotoxin that prevents wrinkle-causing muscle contractions preserving smooth and younger-looking skin.
What differentiates Jeuveau from other neurotoxins is that it is the first 900 kDa molecule toxin since BOTOX® was released. Other neurotoxin treatments including Dysport® and Xeomin® are composed of smaller kDa molecules. These smaller molecules do not provide the same longevity as Jeuveau’s 900 kDa components.*

How is Jeuveau Injected & What Results Can I Expect?
Jeuveau is an acetylcholine release inhibitor that is delivered to the underlying muscles through a series of tiny injections. Once delivered, the specialized Hi-Pure formulation works by binding to the muscle, and blocks the nerve receptors that cause it to contract and relax.
Simultaneously, wrinkles on the surface of skin are softened. Since the muscle is relaxed, it prevents moderate-to-severe lines from worsening in problem areas of skin including the forehead, between the brows, and around the mouth. The advanced formulation allows for longer-lasting results that can surpass up to 5 months.*
